This beautiful side table was created using upcycled materials and is a part of our 1825 Tonopah Collection. It has been lightly sanded and stained to stay maintain the rustic feel but also preserve the integrity of the wood. Made of Maple, Cherry, Walnut, and Doug Fir. The chevron pattern is hand crafted using alternating cuts of wood and not various stains. Because of this, the grain of the wood is not always completely symmetrical but naturally beautiful nonetheless. The initial building was a saloon that was built in 1825. When silver was discovered in the town of Tonopah in 1900, it sparked one of the biggest mining booms in the state of Nevada. When the saloon was partially restored in 1905, a bank was built along side of the very historic Mizpah Hotel and the Nye County Courthouse. Unlike normal store bought wood, all the doug fir is rough sawn timber that has been in the elements and preserved in beautiful patina for decades. The maple, cherry and purple heart have been reclaimed from the bank's trim and counters. The 100+ year old black walnut with the live edge was cut from a portion of a tree knocked down during the restoration project.
